    Default Shopping cart discussions

For those who run eCommerce stores, what is everyone's favorite shopping cart is currently?
Curious what others are using, what they like/dislike about it and why.

Personally, I have some experience helping others with setup or config issues with many different carts, but have only used ZenCart for an extended period of time.
One thing I look for with software is support offered, and if they have an active community where I can go, take part, find answers to questions, tips/tricks etc.

I am biased as I am a BIG Joomla! fan. I prefer using Virtuemart on top of Joomla! 1.5.

Virtuemart on Joomla is a great solution, agreed. I've only used it to "display" inventory for other sites that I have built, so never tied it into any form of payment or used it in a live ordering process.

I have used it in conjunction with Authorize.net, PayPal, as well as not using a Gateway. If not using a Gateway, then the "store" would have to hand key the CC number into their POS.

The newer versions of Virtuemart are really slick.

i'm starting up a tiny little storefront. i am coding the site myself so i just wanted to have the cart be hosted elsewhere, so all id have to do is add "add to cart / buy now" links. i first found e-junkie after a lot of searching. e-junkie has great support and admin control and their javascript cart is very clean. theyre only problem is their shipping options are terrible.

in the end i think i am going with mal's cart, 2 dollars more a month but i can have unlimited items and their shipping options are much more flexible, or enough that my needs are met.
