BP Oil Spill
I just heard that BP is going to start selling the oil reclaimed from the spill site. How does everyone feel about this? They will be donating some of the revenue to charities and to fund the cleanup of one of the worst spills in living history. However they will ultiamtely be profiting from their own mistake.
How does everyone feel about these large multinational corporations? Do you believe that these companies believe they are above the law and able to take huge risks just to increase their profits?
I may not support conspiracy theories but I do believe that globalisation will be a major problem in years to come. There's just no competition anymore. While different brands may appear to be different they are often produced by the same company.
Also it's amazing to think how much we all rely on oil everyday. Pretty much everything we know relied on oil and has done for generations. Plastic, petrol, oil and many other things are made from oil. Surely it's time to start looking for an alternative source. Maybe if the world wasn't so centered around money we would already have alternatives. Big businesses control everything rather than letting innovation drive us forward.
