If you use PayPal then you will probably suffer from problems at some time in the future. PayPal often makes their rules up as they go along and are very quick to limit your account without any warning.

PayPal claim that they limit accounts for security however it can make doing business extremely difficult. You should always avoid trying to withdraw over $2500 in a 24 hour period because for some reason this looks suspicious.

Contacting PayPal

Contacting Paypal is actually very difficult in itself. There are numbers listed on the website however most of these are non-geographical numbers which keep you on hold for what seems like a lifetime. When someone does finally pick up you'll be lucky if they speak English.

Speaking to a Real Human

The aim of contacting PayPal will be to speak to a real live human who can understand your problems. Most of these people do not actually believe with how the company is run, remember though that it's not their fault. Be patient and don't get annoyed with them, just see if they can offer you any assistance.

Getting Names

Ex PayPal employees have stated that the company tells employees not to give out their first names. The reason for this is so that it makes it virtually impossible to follow up any claims.

The reason for getting names is so that you can get in touch with the same person again if needed. Most Paypal staff will have their own email address which is made up of their first initial and their last name @paypal.com. You would not believe how useful this is.

Never Give Up

PayPal know that most people will simply give up because they make it so difficult to get in touch. PayPal employees are told to fob you off and keep you waiting as long as possible. The key is to be determined and never give up.

Consider Small Claims Court

If Paypal still won't do anything then send them a letter detailing your grievances by registered mail and give them adequate time to reply. If they do not reply then you could consider taking your claim to small claims court.

You should be able to find a number of lawyers who will take your case for free as long as it's considered to be strong enough.
