Post Integrating Worldpay with OsCommerce

If you're using OsCommerce then you will need to find a way of accepting payments online. The great thing about OsC is that it has lots of different modules which can accept payments through a number of different gateways.

This means that you are free to choose virtually any payment gateway that you want to use. The integration steps will be slightly different for every gateway although this post will look at integrating Worldpay with OsCommerce.

    Contributions

OsCommerce has lots of user designed upgrades known as contributions or modules. These allow users to easily add new features onto the basic system. The first thing to do is download the Worldpay contribution from the OsCommerce website.

The Worldpay contribution can be found here. If you're hoping to use an Invisible XML installation with OsCommerce then you will need a different add-on which can be found here.

    Installing the Contribution

The contributions are normally very easy to install. They come with their own package which will populate the database with new information. However if you're working on a store which you are already using then you should back everything up before starting work.

    Setting Everything Up

Going down the standard integration route will be the easiest. This is because the contributions are much easier to set up. Simply enter your Installation ID , password and username into the correct text boxes. Check that everything is set up in test mode to start off with.

    Activating your Account

Once you have submitted a test order you can then request Worldpay to test your site too. If you pass then you will be able to activate your account and start accepting payments straight away.

I've just completed this myself, so if you have any questions just ask and I'll try to help out!
